Our proposal for a rammed earth sustainable social housing, denominated: Casa O, has increasingly getting more and more attention by architecture publications, in this occasion, the influential Italian magazine DOMUS features Casa O.
We feel honored and grateful by all the coverage from worldwide architecture media of this project which we developed as CAPALab in collaboration with our friends of FabriKG, and obviously with the great support of Cabo Hurricane Fund our clients and main promoter of the project.
We hope all this media attention helps the C.H.F. to reach their construction goals. We feel very happy that the house is already inhabited and used as the model for many of the subsequent actions by the reconstruction organisms. We hope to soon see the results of the use and training of rammed earth construction in low-income areas of the city, hopefully the knowledge starts spreding and we see more rammed earth houses self-constructed rather than the use of the environmentally low-performance cement block.
See and read the whole article at the Domus website clicking here. Don’t forget to also check some of their other articles featuring great architectural work and/or urban, architecture and design ideas. Without a doubt one of our favorite magazines since we were young architecture students!
